There is only one way to know, sign up and "test" the system. And they are hosting in paid site it seems...

If only this were posted on Slashdot, they might need to take back their words, unless of course, they are fully prepared for the incoming mob. ;-)

Installed BlogCMS in office

Finally managed to install BlogCMS ver 3.5.2.pl3. Everything is okay I suppose. I even manage to customize it a bit.

Some of the things are a bit akward. As soon as a new weblog is created, you will have to create a corresponding file, manually. I suppose making it write new php file automatically would be a security issue. Still, having done almost everything automatically (the installation is a GUI based), doing this is a bit akward, IMO.

Apart from that, I have encountered installation problem that prevents me from properly install the database. A bit of strange though. The MySQL version that I am using is 4.1.7, but it can't use the 4.1 series configuration. Changing it to use 4.0 configuration works, strangely.

Still, I can't get the fancy URL to work. Changed the Apache's 2.0 configuration to AllowOverride All. The .htaccess configuration works, I suppose, as there are only FilesMatch and ForceType parameters. The part that doesn't work is the part that converts trailing slash into parameters to the php files.

The wiki, gallery, and forum are not integrated with the Blogging system at the point of this writing. You have to create different users for each modules. The other modules also would not work with different users, you have to create another directory for and copy the intended module for it to work. Should there be 10 users that needs all the applications, there would be 10 different copies for each applications(apart from the Blogging application). I suppose this will change in the future, but for now this suffice.

Having this one is much better than using the XOOP last time, at least for this project's purpose. You can upload, post articles, and even have different users their own article space.

Just what we need.

Finally here

or... at last I'm here.

First post of blog. Keep tuning in for more varieties.

Right. Pray that I have time to actually write this thing.

Anyway... good day fellas. :-)
