You're referring to the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identifier) number. This is sent to the carrier network along with every "hello", and is unique to the device (Although it is possible to reflash new IMEI numbers to some phones). In theory any phone can be pulled from all networks across the world once it is reported stolen, which is why phone companies tell you to keep the box and write down the IMEI number.
For the curious, dialling *#06# on most phones will show you the IMEI of the handset.

Good thing for today
I want to make a rule, this day and forward, to write up at least one good thing that happen to me everyday. More is good, but at least one everyday without miss is better. As long as I can get the hold to the internet that is.
Okay, one good thing that happen to me today is that one close friend of mine is willing to help me with the tax by next week. I have been worrying on how to fill it and what to do for these past few days. Having a helping hand, and offering to help without asking is a great thing that happens to me. :-)
Simpson Quote of The Day
Doctor : Mr.Simpson, I'm convinced you pose no threat to yourself or others.
Homer : That's the most flattering thing anybody's ever said to me. Can I have it in writing?
Haha.... how did actually got those ideas to write the script?

Kenshin is the BESTEST Anime
Okay, pardon my English, but so far that is how I feel about it. I just finished watching the last episode of the TV Episode again(I watched all the TV series during my student year about 5 years ago). Somehow watching the last episode left me with the feeling that I will miss something for a long time. Something like my feelings after I read the last page of The Lord of The Rings few years ago. Not as much, but still a lot that its worth mentioning.
Unlike many other new Anime's in the market right now, Kenshin series is the one that doesn't hurry you to tell everything on the plot. Nor does the plot goes around the fighting techniques only. Just like any good story does, it tells you about human emotions, some important message and other things that any good story have(I know, I'm just too lazy to write ;-) )
To borrow some words from other fans,
RK also uses a lot of "incidental shots" of random objects, but it never seems out of place. In some cases, all these touches add to the thematic richness (but that's something to harp on later), and even if it doesn't work on that level, it helps create a rich texture, the sensation that what you're seeing is a world, not just a show put on for your benefit.....
TV series' mixture of deep, meaningful issues, seriousness, and the darkness of violence with chibi effects and lighthearted humor is an important part of the Rurouni Kenshin spirit. Of course, it's far too easy to have something that's striking dramatic poses one moment and cracking the same old jokes the next, but I believe that RK really transcends that. Even in the midst of the darkness, the joy of being alive is not extinguished; I think that's part of the show's message, and something which the humorous content meaningfully captures.
At times, the series try to create the environment that the characters lives in and how the character relates to what's going on around them, giving it the depth of the story. You can see the difference of each character in a relaxing, peacefull day, and during the heat of a battle.
There are two fansites here that I think worth mentioning. The quotes above come from one of these.

Night vision blindness
To prevent it, you need a good amount of Zinc and Vitamin A. Zinc is to transport Vitamin A to retina where it is needed for the rods that provide black-and-white night vision.
